Peace Junior was started in 1993 in a house in Magiwa Estate. It opened its doors in February the same year with 6 children, 2 teachers and a cook who doubled up as a cleaner. This was a kindergarten level whose duty was to prepare children for std 1 to other school.

In September 1997, the school moved to the present location, in January 1998, those pupils who cleared pre-school joined std 1. The year 2001 January saw double intake of std 6 and 7. The std 7s later became the pioneer of KCPE in the following year 2002 registering a B- mean grade.

From then the school has been steadily growing. The classrooms were temporary wooden structures, which gave way to modern tuition blocks housing pre-section and std 1 through to std 8, a population of 250 pupils.

The school offers 8-4-4 system of Education. A total of trained 20, teachers have been employed to carry out the programme which has been designed to target the child holistically (mentally, spiritually, physically and socially). The children leaving the school have a track record of exemplary performance in various high schools which they join.

We perform very well in co-curricular activities including sports, games, drama and music. We participate in Art/ Craft competitions conducted by local firms e.g. kiwi and essay writing, picture painting and photography organized by the UNEP every year scooping awards in form of certificates and trophies.

The school has a Management Board of Directors Academic Counsel and a well functioning PTA which is a registered institution with the registrar of societies of Kenya. All stakeholders are properly involved in the activities of the school and our doors are opened for parents and visitors including the officials of the Ministry of Education to come and see what we are doing.

We have done well in partnering with the government to bring up and educate personnel readying them to take part in National building when time comes.
